History

Ariccia, Italy dates back to the sixth century B.C. It is a quaint town 40 minutes south of Rome in the rolling Castelli Romani hills. A big part of Ariccia is set at the center, the Chigi Palace. Ariccia was originally run by the Savelli family in the 15th century and was then passed to the Chigi family in the 17th century. It has beautiful architecture featuring designs by Bernini and Carlo Fontana who was hired by the family. Ariccia has picturesque views, especially from the bridge, and is famous for having the best porchetta in Italy. Ariccia is packed every weekend with people from all over coming to enjoy the amazing food and friendly environment.
